EA Tool Types
Modelling Type
These types of tools
predominantly focus on modelling everything and provided lot of re-engineering
options, example Sparx Enterprise Architect, it is typically thick client

EA Tools Licensing
EA Tools follow commonly three types of licensing patterns, for arriving
base price
- Repository based
This type of tools provides 2 or 3 repositories which can house unlimited number of applications and unlimited number of users, most of the time fair usage policy applicable.
- Applications Count based
They charge per application x base cost, for
example if there are only 200 applications in your organization, they charge $500
X 200 = base price
- User Count based
They charge for different users base for example
